Christoph Ullmann reads from the book "Manual of Painting and Calligraphy", created in 1977 by the Portuguese writer José Saramago. In terms of private/non-private, two categories of painted portraits emerge: one that is carried outwards, while a second category remains hidden. The exhibits of the former are embellished, while those of the latter strive for an honestly within the representations - privacy and publicity as a visualization of reality and imagination.
